Sycamore with Twisted Wire Ring

This thin, light wood Sycamore is beautifully immersed with twisted red, orange and yellow wire. The subtle wooden band and metal pattern gives a more dynamic look to compliment the ring with light and colour – you can choose your own combination beyond these three colours.

I have most colours of wire available, I can also order in or if you want to supply your own that’s no problem. You can of course also select a different wood veneer – light or dark and I can send a picture of the different species I have in stock.

I normally make my rings to a mirror gloss finish but you can of course opt to have a matt finish with this wood species **. There is also the option of having the wood treated with oil or wax if you would like which gives a nice sheen and ‘pop’ to the wood grain – I have a couple of different types, or you can choose to leave it untreated ***.

** I would recommend having a clear coat finish to protect the final ring (wood and inlay) as either matt or gloss for low maintenance aftercare, however, this of course is entirely up to you as the customer/ring wearer and there will be extra care required for protection and long-life. 

*** There will be some natural wood saturation when a clear coat of resin is applied, but no colour tint.
