Sit!

 A beautiful textile and appliqued picture of fields and hills, richly textured with layers of beautiful fabrics, and a dog looking
loving at his owner as she teaches him to sit. This piece is made from a combination of applique,  and freemotion machine embroidery, effectively drawing with your sewing machine. It includes a background that has been built up using cottons, Raw silk, linens, and hand dyed scrims, and I have tried to create the feel of the countryside by using different colours and textures. 

The finished piece measures 30 x 30cm, with the inner
mount in antique white and measuring 15cm x 15cm. It comes ready framed with a white driftwood wooden frame, ready to hang on a wall. As this piece is created by freemotion embroidery and applique, the odd frayed edge is deliberate and adds to the quirkiness. Pictures may vary slightly due to placement and fabric
