These lovely necklaces each feature a gorgeous Murano glass fish, with a big swirly black eye, and stunning glittery striped down the sides.
As suggested in the name, Murano glass is made on the Venitian island of Murano, Italy. It is believed to have been made here for around 1500 years, and for a long time was the largest supplier of glass in Europe.
These particular fish beads are known as ‘lampwork beads’. They are made by wrapping the melted glass around a central rod which, when cooled, comes out, leaving the hole through the middle so the piece can be set as a bead.

Please note that the white fish is slightly smaller than the other two.
