Habit-Cap Bottle Cap Keyring – Giant Manta Ray

This is a recycled bottle cap which has been repurposed into a miniature habitat (a Habit-cap!). This design features a Giant Manta Ray which has been handmade from polymer clay and is set in liquid polymer clay. 

The bottle cap is silver without branding and measures approx. 3 cm wide. The keyring features a metal alloy D-snap hook for easy attachment. The total length of the keyring is approx. 7.5 cm.

Giant Manta Rays (Mobula birostris) are a charismatic open ocean species which moves gracefully through the water feeding on plankton. They are huge but gentle animals, often measuring more than 7 m wide, capable of travelling hundreds of miles and diving to enormous depths. Unfortunately, Giant Manta Rays are listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, with global populations decreasing as a result of human activity.
