Embroidery flower art picture, the perfect gift for a
special friend or someone who enjoys embroidery artwork.

A beautiful appliqued picture for the flower lover! This
piece is made from a combination of applique, 
and freemotion machine embroidery. I have made the background from
various layered cottons and linens, and then appliqued and free motion
embroidered the flowers and leaves…….effectively painting with your sewing
machine. The background is totally unique…… no two pictures are the same.
The flowers are mainly created from my grandmother’s antique crochet, which I
have hand dyed and then carefully cut out. The overall palette is very pretty
with pastel shades of green,  pink and
lilac. The text message is simple….. enjoy the simple things in life……
printed to calico and then stitched.

The finished piece measures 29 x29cm with the inner mount in
antique white and measuring 15cm x 15cm. It comes ready framed with a white
driftwood wooden frame, ready to hang on a wall. As this piece is created by
freemotion embroidery and applique, the odd frayed edge is deliberate and adds
to the quirkiness.
